Citrus County Feeding Alliance

Every year the Lecanto Ward partners with other community leaders in an effort to feed hungry families in our county. The ward is organizing volunteers to help pass out food on the day of the Thanksgiving Feed. The Relief Society is also setting up a "Self Reliance" booth where lots of information will be provided to those interested.

Contact Sister Fulford if you are looking to help with the R/S project and Brother Avery if you are wanting to volunteer to help pass out the food.

November Visiting Teaching Theme

We can pick any conference talk for our November visiting teaching message. For our November V/T workshop, we made origami flowers based on this talk! Enjoy!

Part 2:

Fall is Here

Blessings in a Backpack has started up again! We pack the 2nd Thursday of every month in Hernando and the 4th Thursday every month in Homosassa. Contact Sister Fulford for the Hernando group and Sister Mannis for the Homosassa group.

As a Relief Society we are collecting shelf milk, peanut butter, and squeeze jelly. We are also collecting box tops.

Origami Forget me Not flowers

We had a challenging but fun project for our November Craft. We made forget me not flowers to complement President Urchtdorf's "Forget Me Not" talk from the women's conference in September.

Nancy taught us the "Square" fold a little differently than these instructions, and it seemed to work a lot better than these instructions. (But it was the most difficult part of the project). So if something isn't going right for your flower--then it may be the square fold!!!
