Hospice Pillow Service Project

Today's newspaper page A15 Citrus Chronicle:

LECANTO--The women of the Relief Society at the Lecanto Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints sewed and stuffed 110 neck and back pillows for their National Day of Service, which is May 14th. The group has worked for several months to make these pillows to be given to the patients of Hospice of Citrus County. They dedicated these pillows to Hospice of Citrus County on Monday, May 9th. By the generosity of this group many patients will have comfort from these pillows. Pictured from left to right are: Carole Smith, Lori Mannis, Pam Lund, Carmen Roman, Lori Basore, Lucy Waller, Kim Fulford, and Awilda Valle.

Pillow Project

In today's paper (Sunday May 15 2011) the Citrus Chronicle highlighted our pillow sewing project. There isa picture of Carole Smith, L. Mannis, Pam Lund, Carmen Roman, L. Basore, L. Waller, K. Fulford, and A. Valle in the newspaper.

The picture also includes the 110 pillows that we made during March and April. I couldn't find a link to link it to our blog, but it will be posted on a bulletin board in R/S.

It was in the Community and Together section (about page A15)
