Time Out Book Club
Jessicca and I met last week and we decided to read "God wants a powerful people" by Sheri Dew.
We'll be meeting on the 2nd Tuesday in February @ Jessicca's house to discuss the book.
We don't have the 8 people yet to get the discount--so for this month everyone can just buy the book at the regular price on Deseret Book (which is about $15.00).
You can follow this link. http://deseretbook.com/time-out/upcoming-titles
Then click on the proper book--and it puts it in your shopping cart.

Ward Party:
- Turkeys were passed out at church today. If you are signed up for a turkey, but couldn't pick it up--then you can pick it up Wednesday evening or Thursday evening.
- The sign up sheet for food/kitchen duty are in the kitchen at church. If you are interested in still signing up--feel free to stop by there and fill in the remaining spots.
- The pans for the Potatoes and the Stuffing were passed out today at church too. If you missed it--then stop by the kitchen sometime this week and pick up your pan. We want all the food to come in these pans--so that they fit in the warming dishes--and so that we can Throw everything away--to minimize clean up.
- The Activities committee added a few more things for people to bring--Just bring them if you have them. . . . White Christmas Lights, White Sheets, and Cranberry Sauce.
- They also said if you are making a Turkey--and if you want to make gravy--then feel free--that will help the kitchen group.
- Corn and Beans should be brought uncooked. They are going to be warmed in the kitchen that evening.
- The Sanders/Horaces will be at church Thursday night starting at 6:30 (for a few hours) and Friday starting at 10am (for the entire day). If you need to bring things in you can during those time--they would also appreciate any assistance for decorations! You can also leave some things in the Kitchen/YW room during Wednesday night--if that is convenient for you.
- Call Amy Sanders, Brittan Mitchell, or Brother/Sister Sumlin if you have any additional questions.
Primary Giving Tree & Missionary Giving Box:
- All names were gone by the end of church! Please bring wrapped present to church and give directly to Bishop. Attach the label from the tree onto the present--so that the Bishop can match the present to the right child.
- You can be as creative as you want for the presents for our missionaries! The purpose is to give them something special as they are away from their families during Christmas.
Relief Society Food Drive:
- Looks like we are starting to compile a good amount of food! Keep up the good work. There is a sign up sheet in each auxiliary on a weekly basis for this--but you can bring the food even if you don't sign up.
Visiting Teaching:
- Our V/T numbers were really down for November--about 71%. Let's keep our sisters in mind during the Holidays!!! We were missing information from a couple of zones--so if you did your V/T but forgot to report it--Please get w/ Connie Debusk! It's too late to get it reported to the stake--but we can correct the information in the computer at church.
Book Club:
- The First meeting of the Time Out for Women Book Club is this Tuesday (Dec. 11) at 10:30am. It'll be at Jessicca Romney's house in Hernando. Check the ward list for her address or call/email Brittan. Even if you didn't sign up--feel free to come out to this first meeting.
That should cover the majority of the announcements,
Brittan
