Here are some of the announcements that were announced during the last 2 Sundays at church:
**Zone Leader Training--Tuesday Sept. 2nd, 6pm at Sister Fulfords (Zone leaders and Assistants--please plan on coming)

**Orlando Canning trips--sign up sheets at church. Wed. Sept 3 from 6-9pm; Tuesday, Sept. 2nd, 10-2pm; Tuesday Oct. 14: 10-2pm. We need 6 sisters for each. You can email me if you want to attend, but can't sign up during church (brittanmitchell@gmail.com)

This weekend is STAKE CONFERENCE (Adult session on Saturday, General Session on Sunday)

We had some new sisters baptized recently--WE WELCOME them into our ward!!

SEE Sister/Brother Cody if you can Feed the missionaries--there are LOTS and LOTS of Open spots.

PLEASE SAVE THE DATE for our ICE CREAM SOCIAL that is going to be right before the General R/S Broadcast on Saturday September 27th. We are going to be hosting the Belleview sisters.

Sister Gidden needs to borrow the Game of Taboo--

NO EATING/DRINKING in Chapel (which includes sacrament meeting and relief society).

Our July visiting teaching numbers were less than 50% let's pick that up in August!!!! Please get with your zone leaders and let them know that you've done your visiting teaching.

Adult Temple Trip

FYI:

The adult temple trip tomorrow afternoon (Tuesday, Aug. 19th) has been cancelled due to Tropical Storm/Hurricane Fay.

Orlando Canning Trips

We booked the following dates for the Orlando Cannery


September 3rd (Wednesday) 6:00pm- 9:00pm

AND

October 14th (Tuesday) 10:00am- 12:00pm.


We will be handing out order forms starting this Sunday (August 17) for Sisters that are planning on going to the Orlando Cannery.

New Announcements

***Sister Vega is scheduled to be baptized on Saturday, August 16th! Welcome to our ward!!!

***The Enrichment scheduled for September 2nd has been cancelled because we are having a big activity on Saturday September 27th with our ward and the Belleview ward.

***We are going to host a Zone Leadership Training meeting. The tentative date is Tuesday, September 2nd @ 6pm. This is for Zone Leaders, Zone Assistants, The V/T coordinator, the R/S Presidency, and the R/S secretary! We will talk about reporting issues, zone socials for the rest of the year, and some other fun stuff related to visiting teaching and leadership.

***The Adult temple trip on August 19th--here are some details: The session is at the temple at 6:30 pm. If you want to carpool, then be at the church at 4:30pm. See the Family History Center if you want to bring a Family File. There should be more information announced at church during the next 2 weeks.

Evening Book Club

Hey ladies! The first evening book club meeting will be held August 26th (Tuesday) @ 6pm. We will pick our first book to read and set a date for our next meeting. Everyone who is interested is welcome to attend. More details will follow. Please contact Joy Barker by the 22nd if you plan on attending. Hope you can make it!
